On the frame (7) there are lifting blocks (8), whose horizontal parts are below the level of the stacking edge of the transporting device when those parts are in the un-lifted position. The back wheels (3.2) are fitted to pivoted levers (3) linked through rods (2) which are sprung by springs (6), with cams (1) pivoted on the frame (7). The cams (1) bear against the upper face (5.2) of the pivot pins (5.1) which shift mounted in the casing (7.2) on the frame (7). The pivoted axes (5) of the front wheels (5.3) are connected to the pivot pins (5.1). The cams (1) are linked by a yoke (1.1) equipped with a clamp (1.2) which are held by the gearing (4.1) of the flexible stop (4) when the frame (7) is in the raised position. The device is lifted and simultaneously secured in the raised position by actuation of the yoke (1.1). It is triggered by actuation of the flexible stop (4). The direction of movement is controlled by handlebars (9.1) located at the end of the control bars (9) firmly fixed to the frame (7).<IMAGE>
