In order to make it easier to remove a drawer (1) from its guides (4) when it is releasably attached to each guide (4) by means of a retaining and catching device (10), each retaining device comprises a slit approximately at the front end of a side cheek of the drawer (1) in the direction of insertion and a retaining peg (17) on the guide (4) which projects inwards from the side, the catching device (10) being arranged on the front face of the drawer (11).
