ETCHING PASTE

The etching paste is used for cleaning welding seams on stainless steel vessels and apparatuses for use in the food, wine and tobacco industries. The product dissolves the slag residues in 45-60 minutes restoring the base metal shine without attacking the metal. When aided my mechanical means, the process speeds up and can be completed in 5-10 minutes. The etching paste contains a mixture of acids inclusive of hydrofluoric acid and an inactive filler. Silicon carbide, barium sulphate, barium hexafluoro silicate, calcium fluoride, aluminium oxide, tricalcium phosphate, paraffin, stearine, ceresin or dodecylbenzenesulphonic acid can be used as fillers, singly or in combinations thereof: The component proportions, expressed in mass percent, are as follows: 55-75 acid mixture and 25-45 filler.
