PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensor array having less characteristic irregularity and stable quality by using an insulating substrate in which the content of Cu is specific value or lower. CONSTITUTION:An insulating substrate which contains 0.001wt% or less of copper is used as the substrate 1 of an image information input unit, i.e., a contact type image sensor having a photosensor array corresponding by 1:1 to an original. An insular photosensor array made of II-VI group compound is formed in the main scanning direction on the substrate 1, and electrodes 3, 4 for producing a signal from the array are provided thereon. Thus, the controllability of Cu amount added to the II-IV group compound photoconductive film which forms the array is improved to perform a photoelectric converter which has stable quality. |
