PURPOSE:To stabilize an output and to reduce in size a shape in an axial flow type laser oscillator to be used for a laser processor, etc. CONSTITUTION:A gas cooler 8 is arranged on a laser optical axis 12 of a resonator, and fixed to a resonator base 1. Holes in which a laser light is passed are opened at both side faces, and discharge tubes 6, 7 are mounted. A hollow tube in which both ends of an inner space 1a are blocked is used as the base 1, and the space 1a communicates with an outlet of gas laser medium of the cooler. An exhaust duct for connecting the resonator to the cooler and a blower can be shortened by a construction for conducting with the duct. The medium heated by discharge-exciting is cooled immediately after it is output from the discharge tube to suppress a temperature rise of the duct and a temperature rise of the base due to radiation heat. |
