LIQUID CRYSTAL ELEMENT

PURPOSE:To provide the liquid crystal element with which a higher density is obtainable and which has sufficient visibility. CONSTITUTION:This liquid crystal element is constituted by forming transparent electrodes 4 on one surface of an insulating substrate 5 and at least either of signal wiring lines 6 and connecting terminals on the opposite surface thereof, respectively, connecting the transparent electrodes 4 and at least either of the signal wiring lines 6 and the connecting terminals to each other by conductive paths 8 penetrating the insulating substrate 5 and installing a transparent electrode substrate 1 via a liquid crystal layer 3 on the side of the insulating substrate 5 opposite from the transparent electrodes 4. At least the transparent electrode forming region on one surface of the insulating substrate 5 is formed as a white color surface.
