PURPOSE:To provide a lighting device being a small-sized charge circuit and capable of charging a secondary battery for emergency lighting regardless of the existence of a commercial light. CONSTITUTION:A switch element such as a triac Q4 is provided between an inverter and a lamp La, with the output of a high frequency transformer T, which is connected in parallel with the inverter for high frequency lighting operating with a commercial power source E, as a charge power source. The inverter for high frequency lighting can be also used as an inverter for charge. The high frequency transformer T1 to become the charge source of a charger is high in operation frequency, so downsizing and weight reduction become possible. By a switch element such as triac Q4, the secondary battery B can be charged even in the condition that the lamp La is extinguished at application of the commercial power source E, thus the secondary battery B can be charged regardless of the existence of the commercial light of the lamp La. |
