PURPOSE:To provide an optical disk capable of forming pits fit to reproduce data and enhancing the reliability of data reproduced from the pits and a recording method for a master disk of optical disks. CONSTITUTION:In an optical disk with guide grooves for tracking and a line of prepits 9 for address information previously formed in the substrate, the width w2 of the front end 9a and the rear end 9b of each of the prepits 9 is made larger than the width w1 of the central part 9c. |
