PURPOSE:To provide a data conversion system capable of converting 2's complement type data into floating point type data by simple operation without requiring converting hardware. CONSTITUTION:An A/D converter 1 converts an analog signal S1 into a 2's complement type digital data S2, which is transferred to an accumulator (D) 5 through an input register (SI) 4 in a digital signal prcessor (DSP) 2. An arithmetic circuit 3 clears unnecessary bits from the transferred data in accordance with processing procedure stored in a ROM 7, inverts bits indicating the code of 2's complement data, converts a coded absolute value fixed point type into a floating point type, and then executes prescribed subtraction to convert the 2's complement type data into floading point type data. |
