PURPOSE:To enhance the load side safety in no-load circuit opening. CONSTITUTION:A main contact 1 is connected between a DC power supply 11 and a load 12, and a commutator circuit in which a capacitor 2, a reactor 3, and a commutator switch 4 are electrically connected in series, and an energy absorbing device 5 are electrically connected in parallel with the main contact 1, and further a blocking means 7 for blocking the flow of the commutator current from the commutator circuit to the load 12 in no-load circuit opening is provided. The blocking means 7 is provided at the location nearer to the load 12 than an electrical connection point between the main contact 1 and the commutator circuit, while it opens approximately at the same time as the circuit opening of the main contact 1 or prior to the circuit opening of the commutator switch 4. |
