<p>PURPOSE:To obtain optimum service quality desired by user by selecting one of plural reference values for facsimile conversion stop/execution corresponding to the service. CONSTITUTION:A character recognition sheet is inputted from a facsimile(FAX) terminal equipment and a facsimile signal conversion is requested to a communication network, then, the sheet information is received by a FAX signal reception section 1061. Then, while the received character recognition sheet is decoded by an MH/MR code detection section 1062, an MH/MR code error detection section 10621 detects and measures an error. Then, a FAX signal conversion discrimination reference section 10622 discriminates the stop/execution of FAX signal conversion based on a criterion such that character recognition allows one-line error but does not allow errors on several lines and gives the result to a FAX conversion processing section 1063. The processing section 1063 executes the character recognition whose execution is decided, codes as the result of character recognition are sent to a FAX conversion signal transmission section 1064, and the processing section 1063 returns the sheet to the user via a FAX signal conversion stop processing section 1015.</p> |
