PURPOSE:To simplify introduction of a laser light to an optical fiber and to reduce the number of optical components by forming at least one end of a laser resonator for outputting a laser light from an excited laser medium of the optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:When a laser medium 4 is excited, for example, by discharging, the medium 4 becomes an inverted distribution state. This is interposed between a totally-reflecting mirror 1 and a partial inversion coating 9 of an optical fiber 8 to constitute a laser resonator 10, thereby oscillating a laser light 5. The light 5 thus oscillated is introduced into the fiber 8 without contact with the atmosphere. As a result, a regulating mechanism for introducing the light 5 to the fiber 8 is not required at all, and yet the number of optical components is reduce, thereby inexpensively manufacturing a laser. |
