OPTICAL SWITCH AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE:To speed up switching of the optical switch and to miniaturize the device. CONSTITUTION:This optical switch has a first optical fiber connecting member 8 which has a first fiber fixing groove 8a for embedding one optical fiber 10 and first guide grooves 8b formed on both sides thereof, a second fiber fixing groove 9a for embedding the other optical fiber 11 and second guide grooves 9b formed on both sides thereof, a second optical fiber connecting member 9 which disposed in facing surface state with the first fiber connecting member 8, an adhesive member 16 which is packed into the spacing on both sides of the first guide grooves 8b and the second guide grooves 9b and fixes the first optical fiber connecting member and the second optical fiber connecting member and guide pins 6, 7 which are inserted freely movably along the switching direction between the one optical fiber 10 and the other optical fiber 11 in the spacing A formed by the first guide grooves 8b and the second guide grooves 9b. The moving quantity of the guide pins 6, 7 is equaled to the disposition spacing of the one optical fiber 10 and the other optical fiber 11.
