PURPOSE:To enable recording and reproduction which are high in SN ratio by holding the SN ratio of photon echo light high. CONSTITUTION:This optical recording method utilizes the induced photon echo which records information by irradiating the same position on a recording medium 5 capable of perpetual or transient hole burning with data light E1 and recording exciting light E0. When the information is recorded at the specific position on the recording medium 5, the information recorded at the specific position is read out, data bits which are already written are found from the read information, and news data bits are added to the data bits which are already written to generate the data light E1. |
