PURPOSE:To prevent unexpected speech disable at a master set side by transiting speech toward a slave set only when the slave set is mounted to the master set if a talking request comes from the slave set while the master set is in hand-free talking. CONSTITUTION:When a line connection request signal is sent from a slave set during hand-free talking and a control circuit 22 of a master set 1 detects the signal, the circuit 22 discriminates whether or not the slave set is mounted. When the slave set is mounted, a current connection relation is released to connect a reception circuit 7 and a transmission circuit 8 to a network circuit 9 and stops hand-free talking to transit the mode to the talking by the slave set. Furthermore, when the slave set is not mounted, a reception standby return signal is sent to the slave set. When a speech request comes from a slave set while the master set is in hand-free talking and only when the slave set is placed onto the master set, the speech is transited to the slave set, then unexpected disable talking at the master set side is prevented.
