PURPOSE:To realize smooth driving of a direct drive(DD) motor by plotting points representing a cam curve on a screen at a display section thereby creating a cam curve having arbitrary shape and then controlling the rotary motion of the DD motor based on thus created cam curve. CONSTITUTION:The motion control system for motor comprises a command value generating section 4 for controlling an outer rotor type DD motor 1 wherein a position command value is calculated with reference to a cam curve representing variations with time of rotary position command value for motor, rotational speed command value, angular rotational speed command value, and the like, and thus calculated position command value is then outputted. The cam curve is created at a cam curve creating section 5 through the use of CAD function of a personal computer, for example, and the cam curve creating section 5 comprises a section 53 for drawing a cam curve based on points plotted on the screen of a display section 511 at an input section 51. Position command value generated at the command value generating section 4 is fed to a driver section 3 where the position command value is employed, together with an output from a rotation sensor 2, in the feedback control of the rotational speed of the DD motor 1. |
