PURPOSE:To improve the durability and electrode performance of a fuel electrodes of solid electrolyte fuel cell. CONSTITUTION:Fuel electrodes, composed of porous bodies 32 into which fuel electrode metal is impregnated, are formed with nickel chemically adhered to a surfaces in fine pores, by impregnating nickel chloride solution into pores of porous bodies 31, and then applying heat treatment, with the porous bodies 31 of YSZ (zirconia doped with yttria). This makes substrates of electrodes to unincludible nickel particles to reduce the difference of thermal expansion coefficients, and also increases the surface area of the nickel acting as fuel electrodes, and eliminates the aggregative phenomenon of the nickel particles to improve electrode performance. Moreover the fuel electrodes can be constituted of the same as the solid electrolyte but with a changed porosity. |
