<p>PURPOSE:To provide a digital image processor capable of obtaining expanded and reduced picture which keeps the best picture quality within limited time. CONSTITUTION:When the quantity of data of an original picture and a reference value N are compared and the quantity of data of the original picture is below the N, it is judged that the processing time does not increase remarkably even if a high definition expansion/reduction processiong method is performed and a high definition expansion/reduction processing method M2 such as the expansion/reduction processing by a cubic spline is selected. When the quantity of data of the original picture is more than the N, it is judged that the processing time increases remarkably if the high definition expansion/reduction processing method is performed, a simple expansion/reduction method M1 such as the expansion/reduction processing by a linear interpolation is elected.</p> |
