PURPOSE:To provide the information processor which can takes an error diagnosis without greatly decreasing the efficiency of information processing by providing a diagnostic device which outputs data through a group of series-connected flip-flops and takes the error diagnosis in the case of error occurrence by using data stored in the flip-flops. CONSTITUTION:A flip-flop circuit 11 includes an in-use flip-flop group which outputs data and a backup flip-flop group which is constituted similarly to the in-use flip-flop group, put in operation with a clock in phase with the system clock of the information processor, and connected in the normal operation of the information processor so that the held contents are similar to those of the in-use flip-flop group, and supplies shift data to the diagnostic device 2 by changing the connection state in the case of the error occurrence; only when the connection states of the respective flip-flop groups are changed, the system clock is stopped. |
