PURPOSE:To prevent that a tape is not press-fitted on a control head and a control signal is not be able to recorded at the time of recording. CONSTITUTION:The movement of the tape due to the movement of a pulling arm 7 after loading of a tape cassette is detected by the rotation of reel bases 2 and 3, and whether a tape is pulled out by the pulling arm or not is discriminated at the initial stage of cassette loading. Consequently, at the initial stage of tape cassette loading, whether the tape is normally pulled out by the pulling arm or not.
