OPTICAL FIBER FUSION SPLICING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need to detach a fiber receiver so that the fiber receiver is not an obstacle at the time of portage as to the optical fiber fusion splicing device which splices optical fibers by fusing and discharges the optical fibers after reinforcing the spliced part with a reinforcing member and is provided with the fiber receiver receiving the discharged optical fibers below an optical fiber discharge opening formed in the housing of a device main body. CONSTITUTION:The fiber receiver 31 is provided in the housing 30 of the device main body rotatably between a position (a) where the discharged optical fibers are received and a position (b) where part (cut part 30b) of the optical fiber discharge opening 30a is closed almost in level with the external wall of the housing 30. When the device is transported, the fiber receiver 31 which is rotated to the position (b) does not disturb the transportation.
