PURPOSE:To easily and surely discharge a reinforced optical fiber from the device without deforming the optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:This device consists of clamp mechanisms 17, 18, and 19 which clamp the optical fiber 1, a means which conveys the clamp mechanisms forward at right angles to the drawing direction of the optical fiber, and a means which rotates the clamp mechanisms around an axis extending perpendicular to the conveyance direction as the clump mechanisms are conveyed. After the optical fiber is reinforced, the clamp mechanisms are conveyed and also rotated, and the clamp mechanism are released when rotated by a specific quantity to discharge the optical fiber from the device. Consequently, the optical fiber can easily and surely be discharged from the device without being deformed. |
