PURPOSE:To supply optical fibers which are mounted on a cassette to the fusion splicing machine, one by one. CONSTITUTION:A drum 8 which elevates the cassette 5 by one DC motor 32 and a cam 35 which moves a cassette holder 4 in the right-left direction are driven and the right-left movement of the cassette holder 4 by one rotation of the cam 35 is synchronized with the upward movement of the drum 8. After the cassette 5 is elevated with a release pin detached, the release pin engages the clamp of the cassette 5, and the clamp is disengaged to supply the optical fibers, one by one.
