PURPOSE:To reduce the noises of the video signals which are transmitted between the frames regardless of a motion occuring between the frames which are continuously transmitted. CONSTITUTION:The average absolute difference MADo is decided between each block included in a reference frame and each block of the same position included in a frame adjacent to the reference frame, and the noises are reduced in the reference frame of the video information. When the difference MADo is smaller than A, the blocks in the adjacent frame are held together with the blocks in the reference frame for averaging. When the difference MADo is larger than A, the block in the adjacent frame that is matching with the block in the reference frame is searched and defined as MADmin. When the difference MADo set against the block in the adjacent frame is smaller then (BXMADmin), the matching blocks are not used for averaging. Otherwise the matching blocks are used for averaging. However it is desirable not to use the matching blocks when the MADmin is equal, to the value C. Meanwhile the value A, B and C are experientially decided to the block sizes. |
