PURPOSE:To reduce influences caused by transmission error by providing a timer circuit and a switch circuit on the decoding side and turning the input of a band synthesizing filter to zero for a prescribed period from a picture detected error. CONSTITUTION:Error detection circuits 104-107 output error detection signals 144-146 showing the picture of which error is detected, and those signals are inputted to timer circuits 147-149. When the error detection signals 144-146 are inputted, the timer circuits 147-149 output output-suppressing signals 150-152 just for a time decided in advance. When the output suppressing signals 150-152 are inputted, the switch circuits 128-130 connect switches 128-130 to a side (a) and turns the inputs of band synthesizing filters 134-137 to zero. While zero is inputted, the picture blurs a little but to which so much distortion is not felt, and picture quality degradation can be reduced. |
