PURPOSE:To perform a test for branch by a test program of small size and also, to easily generate the test program itself. CONSTITUTION:A function that several pre-read instructions, concretely, an instruction JT003 fetched behind a conditional branch instruction JC555 and to return an instruction P IP which fetches the address of the instruction and a control line to the test program is always executed in spite of whether or not the branch is executed by the instruction JC555 is utilized. A state after the instruction JC555 desired to confirm whether or not conditional branch is executed correctly is confirmed by executing a pre-read instruction P IP executed in spite of the change of a flow itself. Also, a flow can be returned to the test program by executing an instruction JC003 to return control to the test program. Thus, it is possible to dispense with specific processing routine at a branch destination, and to execute the test only by embedding an instruction of NOP by which a processor performs nothing. |
