PURPOSE:To surely agitate toner in a developing unit. CONSTITUTION:An agitator 15 is supported between the two side walls of a toner case 6 of the developing unit 5 to be freely rotatable. The agitator 15 is constituted of an agitating plate 16 having a shape of an oblong plate and crank arm parts 17 and 18 integrally forming an approximate L-shape on both edge parts of the agitating plate 16. A rib 16a formed on an outer edge of the agitating plate 16 facing the side of the direction of rotation. A protruding part 19 extending to the vicinity of an inner surface of the toner case 6 is formed on both edges of the agitating plate 16. When the agitator 15 is rotated, toner T within the toner case 6 is agitated by the agitating plate 16. At this time, since the agitating plate 16 is formed in a plate shape, the agitated surface of the toner T by the agitating plate 16 is made large and therefore strong agitating force is obtained. |
