CLAMP DRIVING DEVICE OF FUSION SPLICING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To rotate and finely adjust a geared nut by a fine rotating motor by engaging the geared nut, mounted rotatably on a support base provided with a fiber clamp device, with a ball screw which is rotated by a coarse rotating motor. CONSTITUTION:In the clump driving device of the fusion splicing machine which drives the support base 1 provided with the fiber clamp base 2 by the coarse rotating motor 15 and fine rotating motor 11, the ball screw 14 supported rotatably by bearings 12 and 13 is roughly rotated by the coarse rotating motor 15 and the geared nut 7 is engaged with the ball screw 4; and the support base 1 is supported by the geared nut and the geared nut is finely rotated by the fine rotating motor 11 mounted on the support base. Further, a friction plate 16 is brought into contact with the ball screw.
