Tooth cap anchoring pin - is relieved between threaded and manipulating portions to allow easy separation
摘要
The pin anchors a cap onto a partly-destroyed tooth and has a self-tapping thread by which it screws into a drilling prepd. in the tooth. It has a portion by which it is manipulated into place. The cross-section of the pin is relieved at a point between the manipulating portion and the self-tapping one allowing them to be easily sepd. The pin can have an integral cap support portion on the self-tapping one and adjacent to the manipulating one, by which the cap is anchored in place. The cap support portion may be bonded by two annular opposite surfaces of greater dia. than the self-tapping portion.
