PURPOSE:To prevent a decrease in a component mounting efficiency caused by halting the operation of a machine and replacing nozzles simultaneously when defective attracting nozzles are deposited by a specified quantity and enhance an operation rate and provide an exchange performance to an automatic nozzle. CONSTITUTION:When a mounting pin 4 having a defective pin 5 drops in a nozzle discharge station NE, a clamp comes off so that the defective pin 5 may be loaded on a first conveyer 16, which is detected with a sensor. Then, the first conveyer moves and carries it to a disk 2 on the opposite side. The mounting pin 4, from which the defective attraction pin is removed, is indexed in a nozzle supply station NS. When the mounting pin falls and a nondefective attraction pin is inserted into a taper hole in the tip, the pin is clamped in an automatic mode. When there is no nondefective mounting pin at the supply position of the second conveyer resultant from the rise in the mounting pin, the sensor detects the absence of the pin. To comply with this, the second conveyer moves so that the next nondefective attraction pin may be fed to the supply position. |
