PURPOSE:To control a musical tone without receiving time restriction even if there are many channels to be simultaneously driven by controlling musical tone information to be outputted to a musical tone synthesizing means based upon data-compressed envelope information. CONSTITUTION:In a musical tone synthesizing circuit 7, an envelope forming circuit 13 is provided with an envelope forming part and an envelope information generating part. When an envelope signal ENV formed by the envelope forming part is more than a prescribed threshold level, the envelope information generating part outputs an envelope signal EN from a corresponding sounding channel to a CPU. At the time of inputting the signal EN, the CPU judges the attenuated state of the corresponding sounding channel and executes processing for detecting the channel to be stopped at its sounding. When a truncation signal generating part for generating a truncation signal TRC is connected instead of the envelope information generating part, truncation processing can be executed. |
