PURPOSE:To attain a data input device with excellent operability by making it possible to detailedly change data over a wide range and to optionally set up a data increment or decrement direction. CONSTITUTION:Voltage whose value is continuously changed can be obtained by operating a slider 3a included in a slide type input device 3. After converting the voltage value into a digital value, the digital value is inputted to a CPU in an electronic musical instrument. If the slider 3a is slider in the right direction when the right side part of an increment direction changing switch is depressed, a pitch is increased and the sliding of the slider 3a in the left direction reduces the pitch. When the left side part of the switch 4 is depressed, inverted results are obtained. In each depression of an UP key 5a or a DOWN key 5b on an octave switch 5, the octave range of the pitch to be varied by the slider 3a is increased or decreased. |
