<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a torsional force from being generated and to accurately detect an angular speed by providing detection pieces and balance pieces in the same shapes on both sides of the amplitude of vibrating pieces in the opposite directions. CONSTITUTION:The rectangular plate type detection pieces 4a and 4b are provided at tip width sides of the vibrating pieces at right angles to the directions of the plate surfaces of the vibrating pieces. The detection pieces 4a and 4b are positioned in the mutually opposite directions and in the same shape, and detecting elements 5a and 5b made of piezoelectric elements are stuck on one- surface sides of the detection pieces. Then when a driving voltage is applied to the vibrating elements 3a and 3b stuck on one-surface sides of the vibrating pieces 2a and 2b, the vibrating pieces 2a and 2b and detection pieces 4a and 4b vibrate and the Coriolis force based upon the moving speeds of the vibrating pieces 3a and 3b and the mass of the detection piece 4 is generated to vary charges of the detecting elements.</p> |
