A locking claw (VK) is built into the surround (Z) of the door and set free to rotate by an alarm signal activating an electromagnet (EM) which releases a catch (SK) held in its locking position by a lever (H). When the latch (F) or bolt (R) is operated a corresp. contact (FK, RK) is reset by the rotary operating lever so that the alarm system can detect its position and establish whether the door is open, closed or locked. ADVANTAGE - With rapidly switched alarm system, no modification to standard lock is necessary and one electromagnet is sufficient without complicated assembly.
