<p>Continuous mfr. of pipes by drawing polyester impregnated longitudinal filaments downwards through >=1 reservoirs dispensing a turbulent or spinning array of chopped fibres which are entrained through calibration dies and curing ovens to build up the wall thickness. Pref. the core mandrel can be dilated to assist external calibration of the uncured pipe; can compensate the mandrel temps. for variations in the pipe resin exotherm; can periodically mix and discharge a flan of foam forming resin, pref. a polyurethane, to form partitions at intervals along the bore of the pipe; can comprise one part of h.f. induction heating system for the pipe wall; and is vibrated by an ultrasonic generator to inhibit adhesion of resin to the mandrel.</p> |
