Copolyamides containing units (I) are derived from 3-tert-butyl adipic acid, and >=1 diamine H2NBNH2 (B is (cyclo)aliphatic, arylaliphatic or aromatic gp), and opt. >=1 dicarboxylic acid A(COOH)2 (A is (cyclo)aliphatic or aromatic gp) and/or >=1 amino acid H2NDCOOH (D is aliphatic gp) or its corresponding lactam.
