Use of ginkgolides in treatment of metastatic cancers is new. Pref. ginkgolides are A, B and C (in their natural state, as present in Ginkgo biloba tree leaves from which they are isolated) or ginkgolide B alone. USE/ADVANTAGE - The method enhances the effect of cytostatic chemotherapeutic agents while reducing side-effects. This allows the chemotherapeutic agents to be more effective against tumour cells which are resistant to cytostatics (claimed).
