Cooling device for interior of car - has flap allowing fan to draw blow exterior or interior air past peltier cold generator in roof

The cooling device has a solar-powered (or car battery-powered) "cold generator" (12) utilising the Peltier Effect, fans (18, 19) and a flap (22) to redirect the air flow. The device is located in the roof (10) of the car. One fan (18) draws outside air over the top of the Peltier generators which then produce a cold lower surface. If the interior temperature is already cooler than the outside, the inner fan just recirculates the inner air, this air being cooled by the Peltier generators. If the interior temperature is higher than the outside, the flap opens automatically, allowing the interior fan to suck in colder outside air. This is again cooled further by the Peltier generators.
