To provide a tantalum solid electrolytic capacitor which enables to prevent a short-circuit due to diffusion of metals component contained in conductive polymer resin layer forming the cathode. A tantalum solid electrolytic capacitor comprising a fluorocarbon resin layer or a fluorocarbon resin containing layer being disposed between an anode composed of sintered tantalum having a surface of a dielectric oxide film and a cathode composition formed from a metal-containing conductive polymer resin composition, which may contain such fluorocarbon resin therein.
