<p>The invention relates to a connection terminal having a U-shaped clamp (12) and a nut (20) having a screw (32). The semi-vaulted centre-piece (18) has a greater thickness than that of each arm (14,16), the said thickness being able to be varied in order to form a beam flush-fitting at its two ends (48,50) with the base of the arms (14,16), and having a uniform mechanical strength for a predetermined tightening torque when the cable (38) is wedged between the centre-piece (18) and the lower face of the contact area (36).
