<p>This thermostat (1) comprises a casing (2) containing at least one fixed contact (3) and a moving contact (13a, 4) which can be actuated by a bimetallic element (6) mounted on an end face (5) of the casing (2), which passes abruptly from an unstressed position to a deformed position when its temperature reaches a first predetermined value and passes back into its unstressed position when its temperature drops back to a second predetermined value lower than the first value. In order to lengthen the reset time of the thermostat, the latter comprises a cover (14) made of an insulating material and which is fixed to the casing (2) so as to form with it a chamber (17) accommodating the bimetallic element (6) and which is placed in communication with the surrounding atmosphere through an orifice (15) of small size formed in a wall (14a) of the cover (14). <IMAGE></p> |
