PRODUCTION OF FLEXIBLE METAL POLYIMIDE LAMINATED SHEET

PURPOSE:To impart excellent folding endurance by heating and drying a metal polyimide laminated sheet on the side of metal foil in a drying process so that solvent content becomes a specific amount with respect to a resin solid and holding solvent content to a specific amount or more with respect to the resin solid after drying. CONSTITUTION:In a drying process adapted when a flexible metal polyimide laminated sheet is produced by coating metal foil composed of copper or soft aluminum with polyamide acid dissolved in an org. solvent and drying the coated layer before imidating polyamide acid, the laminated sheet is heated and dried on the side of the metal foil from a point of time when solvent content is 200-700 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of a resin solid so that the solvent content after drying is held to 1.0 pts.wt. or more with respect to 100 pts.wt. of the resin solid. By this operation, the folding endurance of the laminated sheet can be enhanced.
