PURPOSE:To obtain the subject structure having excellent durability and W & W (wash and wear) properties without reducing strength by providing cellulosic fibers with a specific compound. CONSTITUTION:A cellulose fiber-containing fiber structure is provided with (A) a (meth)acrylate compound of formula I (R1 and R2 are H or CH3; n is 1-50; R3 is H, CH2, C(OH)HCH2OCOCR1=CH2, 1-17C alkyl, 1-17C alkyl group- substituted or nonsubstituted phenyl or 1-17C alkyl group-substituted or nonsubstituted naphthyl) and (B) a resin treating agent for cellulose (e.g. dimethylol urea) irradiated with radiation or steamed and heat-treated so that reaction products of both the components A and B are formed in the interior and/or on the surface of the fibers to give a cellulose fiber-containing fiber structure having low reduction in strength and W and W properties with excellent washing durability. Furthermore, the cellulose fiber-containing fiber structure has excellent crease resistance in wet and dry heat. The use of fiber containing cellulose III type fibers as the cellulose fiber supplies a cellulose fiber-containing fiber structure having excellent handle. |
