PURPOSE:To provide a highly reliable air conditioner capable of eliminating time unbalanced vibration of a rotary heat exchanger and of preventing a refrigerant from leaking from the rotary heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION:Upon operation interruption, a pulse motor valve(PMV) 4 is fully closed while keeping the operation of a compressor 1. A refrigerant in a rotary heat exchanger 5 is recovered to a compressor 1 side. As internal pressure of the rotary heat exchanger 5 is lowered to atmospheric pressure owing to the recovery of the refrigerant, a two-way valve 6 is closed. Thereupon, the recovered refrigerant resides on the compressor 1 side because of the closure of the two-way valve 6 and does not flow toward the side of the rotary heat exchanger 5. Upon the initiation of the operation, the rotary heat exchanger 5 is first started to be rotated and the PMV 4 is gradually opened. The refrigerant is allowed to gradually flow into the rotary heat exchanger 5. Thereafter, the two-way valve 6 is opened and the operation of the compressor 1 is started. |
