PURPOSE:To enhance purification performance against NOx for exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION:A catalyst 3 impregnated with noble metal which has property difficult to oxidize HC and oxidizes NO is provided in the exhaust path 2 of exhaust gas. A catalyst 4 for purifying NOx is provided to reduce NOx in the downstream side from the catalyst 3 impregnated with noble metal provided in the exhaust path 2. For example, a ternary catalyst is provided in the downstream side from the catalyst 4 for purifying NOx in the exhaust path 2. |
