PURPOSE:To prevent a catalyst wire from deforming even when it comes into contact with a cigarette by using a clad wire of Pt/Mo or Pt/W with a specified wire diameter and thickness. CONSTITUTION:A clad wire of Pt/Mo or Pt/W with a wire diameter of 0.07 0.15mm is formed into a coil 1. In this case, the thickness of Pt is made to be 10-30mum. This clad wire does not flex even when it is heated by a light gas flame 3 of a high temperature (1200-1500 deg.C) because Mo or W is not softened, and always stays at a fixed flame position, and the Pt catalysis is stabilized. For this reason, the combustion efficiency is improved, and at the same time, the high temperature strength is superior, and therefore, the title catalyst wire does not deform even when coming into contact with a cigarette. |
