VISCOELASTIC RESIN FOR VIBRATION DAMPER AND VIBRATION-DAMPING METAL LAMINATE PRODUCED BY USING THE SAME VIBRATION DAMPER

PURPOSE:To provide the subject resin composed of a polyethylene terephthalate- based copolymer synthesized from specified dicarboxylic acid components and diol components composed mainly of ethylene glycol and exhibiting a specified heat of fusion. CONSTITUTION:The objective resin is composed of a partially crystalline copolyester exhibiting 5 to 50J/g heat of fusion within a range of 100 to 250 deg.C and >0.1 dissipation factor at 50 to 130 deg.C. The above-mentioned copolyester is obtained by esterifying and/or transesterifying at 120 to 230 deg.C between (A) dicarbosylic acid components in which 60 to 90mol% of dicarboxylic acid residues is terephthalic acid and (B) diol components in which 75 to 100mol% is ethylene glycol and polycondensing the resultant material at 170 to 300 deg.C under high vacuum.
