PURPOSE:To inexpensively provide a small-sized ink jet recording apparatus by using a porous material after foam molding having a large number of membrane walls present therein as the porous material received in an ink tank. CONSTITUTION:In an ink jet recording apparatus wherein ink is supplied to a recording head 3 from an ink tank 7 having a porous member 6 impregnated with ink received therein and an ink droplet is emitted from the nozzle of the recording head 3 to apply recording to recording paper, the air permeability of the porous member 6 is set to 40-150cm<3>/cm<2>/sec. |
