PURPOSE:To provide the subject effective herbicide composition comprising a combination of a new 3,4-trans-4-ethyl-3-(substituted phenyl)-1-(3- isopropylphenyl)-2-pyrrolidinone derivative and a carbamoyl triazole derivative. CONSTITUTION:The objective herbicide composition comprising a combination of (A) a 3,4-trans-4-ethyl-3-(substituted phenyl)-l-(3-isopropylphenyl)-2-pyrrolidinone derivative of formula I (X is 3-site-substituted F, Cl or Br, 3- and 4-site- or 3- and 5-site-substituted F) and (B) a carbamoyltriazole derivative of formula II (R1 and R2 are each alkyl; X is halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, haloalkyl or haloalkoxy; n is 1-3). The compound of the formula I is e.g. 3,4-trans-4-ethyl-3-(3- chlorophenyl)-1-(3-isopropylphenyl)-2-pyrrolidinone. This composition can assuredly control significant weeds in paddy fields for a long period in a single application. |
