PURPOSE:To obtain the subject mycorrhizal fungus in a large amount at a low production cost by three-dimensionally arranging specific containers under artificially controlled conditions and culturing the vesicular-arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus and a plant in their culturing. CONSTITUTION:A vesicular-arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus (VA mycorrhizal fungus) and a plant are cultured. In the process, containers having a structure of 0.5-100cm<2> average cross-sectional area in the horizontal direction of a space where roots can be grown are three-dimensionally (utilizing multistage type shelves or inclined shelves) arranged and the culturing is carried out in culture equipment for artificially controlling the culture environment (the culturing is performed in a greenhouse, etc., capable of regulating the illumination and temperature, preferably at 15-30 deg.C) to afford the objective VA mycorrhizal fungus. |
